Compendium of Nifty November Beta (1.0.0.1) Release

The nifty compendium ranks nifty 50 companies on the basis of their market capitalization. Apart from this primary raking, companies are also ranked on the basis of TTM sales, ROE (%) and Enterprise Value. The compendium gives comprehensive data on each of the 50 companies. The data include basic information, financial performance, management, share holding data, valuation ratio and latest financial results.


Nifty represents 25 important sectors of the economy. With 4 companies Computers - Software industry holds the largest share of nifty 50 companies' market capitalization. Total market cap of Computers - Software industry is Rs.504141.03 cr. With Rs.458566.54 Cr. and Rs.396040.34 Cr. market capitalization Bank and Diversified industry holds the second and third highest position respectively.

Rank Overview:
RELIANCE has the highest market cap of Rs.287254.94 Cr. followed by ONGC (Rs.237543.18 Cr.) and TCS (Rs.218386.72 Cr).
In terms of TTM sales, RELIANCE holds the top position with Rs.292050 Cr Sales. BPCL and SBIN recorded second and third position respectively.
In Return-on-Equity Comparison, HINDUNILVR enjoys the highest rank with81.79% ROE followed by HEROHONDA and BAJAJ-AUTO with 73.47% and 58.56%
In terms of Enterprise value, SBIN scored the highest rank with Rs.1156926.06 Cr EV. ICICIBANK and PNB scored the second and third position according to EV.

Financial Analysis of ACC Ltd


The report is based on FY ended, December ' 10 and Quarter ended, June ' 11.                 
ACC registered a 0.39% increase in net sales to Rs. 2432.88 Crores in the quarter ended June ' 11 as compared to the previous quarter.                            
Other income grew 13.62% to Rs. 47.21 Crores.                 
The Operating Profit (EBITDA) increased from Rs. 621.17 Crores to Rs.627.37 Crores, a rise by 1%.             
Adjusted Net profit decreased by -4% to Rs.336.58 Crores.                         
Operating profit margin dropped by 7 basis points to 23.84% and Net profit margin dropped by 65 basis points to 13.57%.                               
For the TTM end, top line increased by 4.49% to Rs.8633.76 Crores and Bottom line decreased by -2.1% to Rs.1043.2 Crores.                               
During the last five years, the net sales grew by 5.94% CAGR and net profit decline by -1.69% CAGR.

Financial Analysis of Siemens ltd


The report is based on FY ended, September ' 10 and Quarter ended, June ' 11.                
SIEMENS registered a -10.31% decrease in net sales to Rs. 2796.81 Crores in the quarter ended June ' 11 as compared to the previous quarter.                                                            
The Operating Profit (EBITDA) decreased from Rs. 444.87 Crores to Rs.252.4 Crores, a decline by -43.26%.                            
Adjusted Net profit decreased by -44% to Rs.154.79 Crores.                       
Operating profit margin dropped by 531 basis points to 8.95% and Net profit margin dropped by 338 basis points to 5.52%.                               
For the TTM end, top line increased by 5.02% to Rs.11514.11 Crores and Bottom line decreased by -0.14% to Rs.929.83 Crores.                
During the last five years, the net sales grew by 15.6% CAGR and net profit grew by 19.98% CAGR.

Financial Analysis of Ambuja Cements Ltd


The report is based on FY ended, December ' 10 and Quarter ended, June ' 11.                 
ACL registered a -1.5% decrease in net sales to Rs. 2189.07 Crores in the quarter ended June ' 11 as compared to the previous quarter.                            
Other income grew 7.79% to Rs. 56.15 Crores.                   
The Operating Profit (EBITDA) decreased from Rs. 679.09 Crores to Rs.654.58 Crores, a decline by -3.61%.                            
Adjusted Net profit decreased by -15% to Rs.347.5 Crores.                         
Operating profit margin dropped by 88 basis points to 27.33% and Net profit margin dropped by 244 basis points to 15.47%.                               
For the TTM end, top line increased by 1.3% to Rs.7821.94 Crores and Bottom line decreased by -3.64% to Rs.1158.74 Crores.                
During the last five years, the net sales grew by 3.43% CAGR and net profit decline by -5.21% CAGR.
